It's Tom here from SummitClimb Team Everest from Tibet reporting for Friday 11
April 2014 on our team's progress.
Today was our second day spent acclimatizing to the lofty heights of the
Himalayan mountains. The team is in good health. We went for a relaxed 3 hour
hike in the hills surrounding Nylam and took photos of the pristine mountain
landscape that Tibet has to offer.
Everyone has a hearty appetite. The cuisine at the local restaurant is a
favorite of the group. Meal times are a great time for members to get to know
each other. We are gelling into a solid unit ready to take on the challenges
of Everest over the next 7 weeks.
Tomorrow, we drive to Tingri to continue acclimatizing for two nights before
heading up to Everest Base Camp.
All members are in good spirits and very happy to be living out their
mountaineering goals of climbing Everest with SummitClimb.
We look forward to the unique experiences ahead and hope you will be following
our progress via the website.
(A quick hi to Pip my girlfriend, thanks for all the lovely messages of
support. Love xo)
