Update:
One week decisive for the Majorcan expedition

The members of the Majorcan
expedition are prepared to arrive at the summit of the Everest at the end of
this month
Tomorrow, it is predicted
that Tolo Quetglas continues with sherpas towards Camp II, to 6,400 meters of
height, to gain the lost day of acclimatization due to the deviation of his
boots the last week. Next, the day after tomorrow, Tolo Calafat and Juan
Olivieri will arrive at the Camp II to follow, along with Quetglas, until Camp
III (7,200 meters), where they have predicted to arrive Thursday at noon.
Friday, if the meteorological conditions allow it, the expeditionary Majorcans
will follow the ascent the great mountain until Camp IV (8,000 meters).
Following the plan drawn up
by the three climbers, the expedition will return to the Base Camp between
days 14 and 15 of May and, after days of rest will begin the final attack to
the mountain.
While Jose Maria Alvarez "Jopela"
is in pending Luckla to be transferred in airplane until Kathmandu, where he
will be recognized in the Ciwec hospital of his pulmonary ailment. His
intention is to return to Majorca with the rest of the members of the
expedition.

weather, high altitude double boot for extreme conditions The Olympus
