Asian Trekking's International DAV Manaslu Expedition Spring 2012 five members
reached to the summit of Mt.Manaslu (8163m) on 12th May in the morning. The
summiteers are the DAV Leader Mr. Luis Stitzinger of German, Ms.Alix Christin
Dorothee Von Melle of German, Mr.Mark Rainer Japel of German, Ms.Saskia
Carolin Geb. Held Sippel of German and Mr.Christian Winfried Ranke of German.
Asian Trekking family extends hearty congratulations for their great
achievement and wish them for their safe return.
Update: The news Regarding 5 germans to have
summitted Mt. Manaslu needs to be corrected as confirmed from base camp just
now is that the germans had reached just below the summit ( did not summit )
and are now returning to base camp.
