5/10/2007: Arnold called: This is Arnold, the leader of the SummitClimb
Everest-Tibet Expedition. Tomorrow the yaks will arrive to bring the gear up
to our people and they will slowly start the ascent of the climb of the North
Col. At the ABC Phil, Michael, Aldas and Jianggiu are getting ready for a
summit assault on the 12th if the weather stays good. The next summit group
will be the Belgians-Bjorn, Stein, Jeff, together with Jangbu and Pemba
Sherpa. They
are aiming for around the 15th. Tunc, Mustafa, Matt, Walter and Richard
are coming back from Chugache tomorrow, and Kevin and Martin are on the way
to ABC. They're going to sit there and see if they are going to have a good
chance for the summit.
Yesterday there was a lot of fireworks here in Base Camp, it means the
Chinese they reached the summit and a successful expedition with the torch
run.
Many Congratulations to the Chinese Team!!! Bye bye.
